The Masters Hand

Try to imagine the celebration, the young couple, the gathering of family and friends.  Picture the humiliation as the wine ran out at the wedding feast.
What were they to do?

Jesus come to the rescue after his mother's prompting.  He never does things by halves.  He shows his concern, love and healing for all the difficult areas of our lives.  He is the ‘Master' when it comes to caring for people.

Could we not try to learn from the generosity of Jesus in our dealings with people and try and live out the Gospel of Cana story?

"Proclaim the wonders of the Lord among all the peoples" (Ps 95:1)

WORLD DAY OF MIGRANTS & REFUGEES
  Theme: ‘The Migrant Family'

On Sunday, 14th January 2007, we are asked by the Holy Father to pray for Migrants and Refugees.  Our Gospel today sees Jesus among friends and family for a celebration. For many migrants family celebrations further highlight ‘the hard trial of distance and solitude'. Our prayer today, in the words of the Holy Father ‘means that the value of family is recognised, (in migration) which is now a structural phenomenon in our society'.
