Bulletin 14-March-04

I AM WHO I AM

I AM THE LORD, the God of your Fathers.  I have seen the miserable state of my people, and I mean to deliver them out of slavery. (Ex 3:6-8)

The LORD is compassion and love, slow to anger and rich in mercy.  He forgives all our sins, heals our ills, and redeems us from death. (Ps 102)

Jesus calls on us to repent, because the Kingdom of God is near. (Mt 4:17)

We are offered another chance to bear fruit like the fig tree. (Lk 13:9)

Lent is a time for repentance and reconciliation, a time to make a fresh start, as we prepare to celebrate the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus.
