Go out to the whole world........

Every Christian community is called to make God, who is love, known to the world.  The call is not just for a few.  It is for everyone, in whatever place in life they find themselves.  All who come in contact with Christ cannot keep it to themselves.  They must tell others.

Those of us who cannot physically go out to work on the Missions can help by prayer, by offering our suffering and by some material help in bringing the Gospel to the whole world.

Remember St Therese of Lisieux, the patroness of the Missions, who never left her enclosed convent in all of her short life.

"Go out to the whole world and proclaim the Good News."

Parish Activities

Weekend Masses: The Parish Pastoral Council has agreed that the number of weekend Masses should be reduced as from Saturday Dec 3rd.  This will mean that as from that date we will have only one Vigil Mass each Saturday.  The need to reduce the number of Masses is the knock-on effect of the reduction of priests working in the Parish from four to three.  For the foreseeable future there is little likelihood of an increase in the number of priests working in the Parish.
Those who have already booked the 8.30pm Mass for a 1st Anniversary, should contact the parish secretary as soon as possible in order to reschedule.
Readers and Ministers of the Eucharist who have served at the 8.30pm Mass are invited to a meeting in the Day Chapel on Tuesday 31 Oct, immediately after the 7.00pm Vigil Mass.

Church Environment Group: Meeting Tuesday 24, 7.30pm, Parochial House.

Church Notice Boards: In order to tidy up the notice boards, all notices will be removed in the next few days.  Anyone wishing to have notices displayed in the church should leave same into the parish secretary.

Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration: Can you spare 1 hour a week? ph 9321232.

Mission Sunday - To The Whole World: Christians are invited to support the work of missionaries in their efforts to bring the Gospel message of love to the whole world.  People are asked to be as generous as possible in the Propagation of the Faith collection which will be sent in its entirety to a Young Church. Mission is Sharing.
