Child for Baptism? 

Each year about 170 baptisms take place in the parish. We are delighted with the opportunity this provides to meet with the families concerned and we work hard to ensure that the ceremony itself will be both relaxed and memorable for all. Because of the large numbers of people involved we appreciate very much if the procedures outlined here can be followed:

1. Booking - Contact the parish secretary to book the date for baptism.

2. Information night for parent(s) - Held on the Wednesday night before the first Sunday of the month at 8.30pm in the Parochial House. This involves viewing a short video explaining the meaning and details of the ceremony,  and sorting out practical details.

3. Baptism ceremony  - Normally on the 1st Sunday and 3rd Saturday of each month in Tullamore church, the 2nd Sunday of each month in Durrow church. 

4. A maximum of six children on the day
A team of volunteers help with the running of the information night and the ceremony.

Adult Baptism
We are very happy to make arrangements as required for older children or adults who wish to be baptised.
