ST CATHERINE’S CHURCH SUPPORT APPEAL We share the pain of the Church of Ireland community in the wake of the terrible act of vandalism committed against St. Catherine’s Hophill. Our solidarity & our love is the most important thing we can offer. We also wish to help materially. Envelopes are available in the Church & the Parish Centre, for you to make a contribution towards the cost of re-sorting the building. This will be collected & given from our parish at the end of the month. They can be dropped into the sacristy, the Parish Centre or in the weekly collection baskets. The Church of Ireland’s generosity & welcome when our parish church burned down in 1983 will never be forgotten.
There will also be a Coffee Morning & raffle in the Parish Centre on Thursday 15th from 10.30am-12.30.  Baked goodies welcomed!
Donations can also be sent via St Catherine’s “Go Fund Me” web site at www.gofundme.com/st-catherines-church-repair-appeal or to The Treasurer, St Catherine’s Church, Charleville Centre, Church Avenue. Cheques should be made payable to Tullamore Union of Parishes.  Your support is most welcome.

LIST OF THE DEAD November is the month when we pray especially for the dead. November 1st is the Feast of all the Saints and November 2nd is the Commemoration of the faithful  departed. Both feast days remind us that our life on earth will come to its end, and the hope and promise of eternal life with God is there for us all. An important tradition in Ireland is writing down the names of our departed friends and relations on the Altar List of the Dead. This list is compiled every November and Mass is offered for those on it at all Masses on Friday November 2nd, also 7.45am Monday 6th, Wednesday 7th, Thursday 8th and every First Friday for the coming 12 months. Take time with your family to write this list. Think of family, friends and neighbours over the years. Particularly remember those who have no one to pray for them. Dead lists are available in the Church. Please fill up one, if you would like to do so and drop into the Sacristy or the Parish Centre over the coming weeks.
