THANK YOU Sincere thanks to all who helped in any way to make Christmas so memorable in our Churches and also to those who delivered Christmas Cards. Also a big thank you to all who contributed to Parish Services Church Gate Collection  and to those who helped at the gates.

HOLY DAY Thursday 6th January is a Holy Day. 
Masses will be as  follows:  7.30pm (Tuesday Vigil), 7.45am, 10.00am, 1.10pm & 7.30pm.  Durrow 8.00pm.

CHILDREN BAPTISED IN 2010
Parents and their children are invited to the celebration of the Eucharist on Sunday 9th January, the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord, at 10.00am in the Church of the Assumption.  Children baptised during the past year will receive a special blessing and prayer cards will be distributed at the end of Mass.

MESSAGE FROM TROCAIRE
Trócaire has expressed sincere thanks to everyone in the parish and throughout the diocese for their support in 2010 - not just during their Christmas Global Gift campaign but during Lent and following the recent disasters in Haiti and Pakistan. VIGILANCE IN PARISH CEMETERIES
We would ask all parishioners to be extra vigilant when visiting our cemeteries.  Do not leave bags or valuables in your car.  Lock them in the boot or leave them at home.

MASS SERVERS: If any pupils in the parish would like to become a Server at Mass in the Parish Church, you can pick up an application form in the Parish Centre. Serving training will begin on December 4th.  New servers must have their completed forms - which includes information of the Parish Child Protection Policy - returned to Fr Shane at the Parish Centre, before they begin training.  Altar Serving is open to all children from 3rd class up.

MASS INTENTIONS
From September, Mass in Durrow on the 1st Sunday of the month will be a Shared Mass and the remaining Sundays will be for Months Memories and 1st Anniversaries only.  Holy Day Masses will also be Shared Masses.
All who have booked Anniversary Masses, including those booked for Friday evenings, and haven’t made the necessary changes, please contact the Parish Secretary immediately.
